Welcome
Dapper Day Fall 2016
Ray and Joanie
The photo above was taken at the entrance
of Epcot.
We had a great day with the weather not in
the 90’s. We had no rain and the sun was
just right for pictures this time of year.
People were dressed in all kinds of clothing.
We ran into Jake who said he made his vest
and tie.
It was a different Dapper Day this year
because it fell on the last weekend of the
Epcot Food and Wine Festival. So there
were lots of people trying to take in the last
day. We did not see some of our friends
because Epcot is so big and some come to
the parks later in the day. The lines were
long to get food and it was hard to walk
around. Pictures were a hit and miss with all
of the people around. Some people came
dressed in a nice summer day attire. After
all, it’s Florida. I love the colors with his shirt
and her hat, belt and petticoat. They made
a great Mickey and Minnie.

We have only been to a few Dapper
Days at Disney. Our first has good
memories. We worked hard to find
the right clothing for the day. We
were thinking that if we did not look
just right that we would be out of
place. Not true. Come and enjoy
the day with just an item or two that
is in your closet.
Good to see you again.
This lady and Joanie must have had the election on their
minds. When we picked what to wear, the election did not
come into mind. We were just putting something together
and adding to it as the date of Dapper Day got closer.
This is Lindsey. her family saw us one day
at the Haunted Mansion gift shop at the
Magic Kingdom. We were just wearing
summer clothes and they said, “ Hey, we
know you two!” They saw us on Facebook.
Some of us who know each other from various other events met early in the day for
photos and just to say hello. This is just a small group of several that we spent time
with during the day.
Loren is one of our friends that we would love to
know better. She is so outgoing and fun to be with.
When Ray’s sister was here for Dapper Day
November 12, 2016 she got to meet Loren. Right
away Ray’s sister said, “ my mother made that same
dress for me for a prom, just the color was
different.” It’s funny what we had back in the day.
Ray’s mother did a lot of sewing. Ray remembers
the hemline measuring. Alice would stand straight
and mom would squeeze the ball and chalk would
mark the dress as she turned. Ray said he would
get in trouble playing with it and making a mess
with the chalk.
