Group Photos
Join us for our next Vintage Daze
This was only a small portion of the group, getting set up to take a group photo at the end of the day. The photographers who cannot
be seen in the photo are giving instructions as to where to stand or sit. Others from the group haven’t figured out yet that they’re
getting ready to take a group photo. It’s a little like herding sheep, but once the whole group gets the idea, they’ll all crowd in and be
sure to be in the shot. These in this photo are the ones who listen the best. According to the majority of the participants, they were
all pretty tired by this point in the day. They had been running all over the park looking for the locations they were supposed to find
for their team photos.
Candid photos are always fun. The group loves to just stand and visit with each other, and this time was no exception. We were getting
ready for another group shot at the front of the Great Movie Ride, but most were there ahead of the scheduled time, so they just talked
about their outfits, checked their phones for messages, and compared tired feet. Traci on the right was all set for her ride inside as Dorothy
from the Wizard of Oz.
Once again, our ladies prove that “twirling is not a crime.” These girls have pretty much mastered the art of twirling, as taught to them by
The Darlin’ (Marina) herself. Every get-together is a good reason for twirling, and all of our ladies enjoy showing their finery by twirling in
group formation. The often get the park characters to join them with a twirl.
Koura and Spencer are California imports. We
only get to see them from time to time, but they
are always good for a dramatic pose or two.
And our group is happy to have them as a part
of us. Doozer, Shannon and Lexie were ready to
jump right into the selfie with them.
Don’t these look like determined women? They are
probably rushing to find another location to complete their
assigned list before the time runs out.
This group is never at a loss for coming up with interesting poses. We have demur, flirtatious, bored, distant, puckered up, and what is that,
Lexie? Dying dramatically or just resting? Either way, the poses are always out of the ordinary.
More random poses. Sometimes you just can’t resist photobombing someone else’s picture. It makes some interesting pictures. In the middle
photo you see more participants just visiting with each other, but in the foreground of that photo you can see Tim is talking with Serena and
Mark, who joined us for a while during the day. In the third photo, those people aren’t fainting from the heat or performing some kind of
strange ritual. One of them decided to lie down to look at clouds, and everyone else just wanted to join in on the fun. It makes for a great
photo, don’t you think?
That old couple always seems to get in the middle of the pictures and they’re always
kissing! What is the deal with them? You can see the shock on the faces of all around
them!
More interesting poses from part of the
group. I think these ladies are dreaming of
one day having their handprint and
footprints in the concrete with some of the
other big stars. Dream on, ladies, dream on!
