Vintage Dapper Photos
Just a few photo’s from Dapper Day.
The paparazzi are always chasing the famous. Here one photographer waves to
his co-worker.
Look out for the news
hounds!
This star doesn’t look too opposed
to the press stalking her. And the
couple below have some sort of
modern gadget to record their
story for that newspaper man.
Jason - This guy travels the world
Jason is one guy you just have
to meet. He has great stories
that will not bore you. He has
traveled the world and I am
not kidding. He just flies to
Europe and the jumps on a
train the stays at hostle for the
night. He loves to meet people
and just have fun. The other
thing about Jason is we first
saw him on Dapper Day October 3, 2015 and he was dancing with some girls that I
thought he knew. Come to find out he did not know them but taught them to
dance that day. They were moving to the music on Sunset Blvd. that was coming
from speakers that Disney was playing. I was just about to get some video when
they stopped. I went over to Jason {just like an old guy would} and told him how I
enjoyed the dancing and how good he was. If you like to swing dance or other
dancing, talk to Jason. Most of all, if you plan to take a trip I am sure he has been
there. Thanks, Jason for being our friend. We love the stories.
This couple just got engaged today.
The reporter is getting the scoop
on the Hollywood story. This
director was the first to own one
of the Tucker cars. Only 50 were
ever made. He also had to testify
at the Congressional hearings.
Swing dancers and 1920’s
The swing dancers from the 1940’s and 1950’s
have joined the flappers from the 1920’s for a
magical photo in front of an exotic castle.
How the styles vary from one decade to
another. There’s even a futuristic girl with
bright red hair and a parasol!
Dapper Day November 12, 2016
Dapper Day at Epcot was a little different this year. Epcot is big we did not
get to see some of the old faces. It also was the last day of the food and wine
festival. The weather was great and we still had a good time.
We were in Branson, Missouri
when we came upon this little old
motel. It had the metal table and
chairs with a little office for check
in. You never know what you will
find when on a trip.
Branson, Missouri and the Branson Scenic Railway
We took this train ride on Mother’s day the last time we were in Branson.
The food was great and so was the service. We had a great view and you
could go up to the observation car to get a better view. It was just like in
the 1940’s.
Motels and car shows. We look around us all the time for old buildings
and for car shows. So much fun and people around us are funny to watch.
They have two ways to look at you. They love it and ask questions. We
also invite people to join us. The others just walk by and I have no clue
what they are really thinking. But you will get some looks that are so
funny. Often they will pass us and then look back over their shoulder to
take another look.

Branson is full of tributes to the past, and
especially to the military history of
America. This bronze statue is fairly new,
and very true to life in its depiction of
soldiers giving their all to keep our
freedom.
Old motels are abundant here in the
South, and they offer some great
photo opportunities for vintage
pictures.
We like to vary our outfits to fit the
era that the cars come from. Here we
are the early 1900’s, and below we are
into the 1940’s and 1950s.
Doesn’t this happy couple look like they are heading
for their honeymoon in this fancy new car? And at the
right, they are showing their patriotism by holding up
the 1940 American flag. One more check of her makeup
in the mirror, and then reading all about the end of
WWII in then newspaper.
Who became the 50th
state Hawaii or
Alaska? And did both
become a state on the
same day? Do you
know the answers?
