Actresses young Miriam posing for the
cameras. She is still working on her new
film, “Cars Will Talk Someday,” a story
about a race car and all of his friends
living in a place called Muffler Springs.
She learns that one of the cars can talk.
She tries to get all of his friends to talk
also. But an old car called Hudson tells
him not to let her know cars can talk.
Will she get them to? Funny but will not
win an Oscar. Good movie for you kids,
and since she is a child actress, her fan
base will love it.
Actresses Anna and Joan seen last
night going to the premier of “How to
Kill an Actress” starring Betty Davis
and Humphrey Bogart. I can just
imagine what the two of these stars are
thinking right now. We just hope it
doesn’t turn into something real. It’s
just a movie, ladies. See more about
the two actresses on the movie star
page.
Actress LaFae showing off her new hat
designed by Shannon Merveille. Her dress
is on loan from the Hollywood Wax Museum.
Shannon Merveille also designed her dress.
But why not since that is what you do for a
living. Merveille has pearls that came from
the FiJi islands. Some are as large as 21mm
in size. The string has 234 pearls. Merveille
is also working on the clothing for LaFae’s
new movie that will be filming this fall. LaFae
will take the leading role this time and hopes
to even get an Oscar nominations. The
movie is “Hello, Big Boy.” When we asked
Mae West about the movie title she said
“Lafae is just a B movie actress and will
never bother me.” We think LaFae will take
an Oscar nomination but two other movies
coming out this year will take it away from
her.
Shannon Merveille could take a Oscar for
best costume design. Edith Head could take
it away from her if they can start filming
Joan’s new movie before the end of the
year, but first they have to get actress Anna
to drop the law suit against MGM for
dropping her from the movie.
Actress LaFae and designer Shannon
Merveille acting like they just won the
Oscar. Not yet ladies. Shannon Merveille
has a good chance to take it this year at
the Oscars but LaFae will have to do some
serious acting to take it away from Joan or
Anna. If you did not know this, actress
LaFae was a studio photographer before
acting. She has some of the best photos
out there. Here are just a few that she took
for the opening of the Hollywood Tower
event.
Photographer Matthew Pfeifer came to
Hollywood just a year ago. He has made a
name for himself with his art gallery on
Sunset and Wilshire Blvd. Studios have
asked him many times to take pictures of the
stars. The Hollywood Reporter has a book
full of his work and they will print them from
time to time. You can see some of his award
winning photos here.
Photographer Sherri Davis is the sister of
actress Betty Davis. She has done some
acting but loves to be behind the camera.
She has a gallery on Sunset and Davis
Blvd. That’s right, the street named after
her sister Betty Davis. What a location for
a gallery. Take in some of her beautiful
pictures here. You can just see how she
uses the lighting on her subjects. She has
looked into being a camera director on
some of her sister’s new films, but no
word yet from the Hollywood Reporter,
Variety and various other movie star
magazines.
There was sparkle and glamour
everywhere for this opening. Almost
all of Hollywood attended and even
actors and actresses who are not the
best known showed up in their finest
attire to celebrate this event. This is
certainly an opening that will go down
in history. This reporter’s opinion is
that 100 years from now, people will
still be talking about this gala evening.
Loretta Lovely and her constant
companions, Basil Bryant and Joel Johan
were seen entering the Tower as well. They
have appeared in numerous comedy movies
with the Marx Brothers, but only seem to be
able to obtain bit parts. The Hollywood
gossip says that they are looking at dumping
their agent and possibly building a new
business as agents themselves. Stay tuned
for more information as we receive it.

Midnight Madness is a 1980 American comedy
film produced by Walt Disney Productions
and starring David Naughton, Stephen Furst

Angeles is the game board as five teams of
college students attempt to win "The Great
All-Nighter," a dusk-to-dawn competition
dreamed up by an eccentric graduate
student. David Naughton and Stephen Furst
are paired with a grab-bag group of fellow
students including Michael J. Fox[(in his
first movie appearance), equally determined
to win the game by collecting various clues
planted around the city.
Trivia Answer
Technicolor is working on a new color film and
a very wide screen. Some of the actors are not
sure the wide screen will work for them. The
said that there would be to much to look at
and people will not look at them. Film directors
said they can’t wait to try it. They are already
lining up new movie stages for the wide
screen. MGM said they plan to build a new
build just for the wide screen.
