On May 27, 2017, the pirates took over the Magic Kingdom! No
pillaging and plundering or burning buildings were reported, but
there did seem to be a lot of pirates looking for loot, especially on
the island identified as Tom Sawyer’s Island. It was reported that
some of the pirates were seen carrying handfuls of gold coins
throughout the day.
This pirate has found the fair
wenches of the village.
Pirates are friends forever………….
Until one tries to double cross the
other. Then it’s every man for
himself. Watch your back!
Captain Jack Sparrow wanted to join the team,
but they just laughed.
Pirates viewed through the porthole of a ship
trying to get safely into port.
This pirate is ruthless. She is dreaming of
overtaking a ship and making it her own.
Look out! They’re starting to storm the
incoming ship! They are a frightening bunch
to be sure.
Local women are not safe from the pirates, but it looks like they are not afraid. We think they are
attracted to the adventurous spirit that the pirates display. Some of them may even be dreaming of
joining the pirate ranks and doing some looting of their own.
It looks like these two have
already joined the pirate band.
They look dangerous to me!
This handsome pirate seems to have
charms that work on all the women.
He never seems to be without a
female (or two or more) on his arm.
Is this where the expression, “a girl in
every port” came from?
This female pirate is said to be one of the fiercest pirates on the sea! She
looks nice here, but don’t let that smile fool you.
The pirates and local people believe that mermaids are real. Look! They actually
found one, and she says her name is Ariel.
Who says pirates can’t be female - OR pretty? Just look at these two raiders
of the high seas!
This looks like the calm before the storm. These pirates look gentle
and harmless here, but they can turn into savage fighters at any
time. Lock up your valuables and stay inside!
We told you this pirate has
charms. He can even charm an
elusive mermaid.
Do you think that pirates pray
for good looting?
Do you think this pirate is
jealous of the mermaid? Or is
she trying to convince they
young mermaid to join her
group?
It looks like they’ve taken over yet another city. They never seem to stop in their attempts to
conquer more and more territory.
This group of pirates was
overheard plotting the takeover
of a “ship” on the nearby river.
They were trying, not very
successfully, to blend in with
the regular passengers, but
their evil intent seemed evident.
We heard that there was loot to be had, if you found enough coins to buy it. We
saw pirates exchanging their coins for these treasures. Actually, these were the
prizes for the scavenger hunt for coins on Tom Sawyer’s Island in the afternoon.
The final tallys were made and the prizes were passed out on the landing by Aunt Polly’s place on the island.
Every team had fun, and most collected far more coins than had been expected. Some of the teams broke up
into smaller groups, but each person who was there at the end got a small treasure chest loaded with some
candy. Even though the day was hot, we all had a great time.
We made paper treasure chests for all the
participants and loaded them up with candy.
They received them at the end of the day,
after we had collected gold coins in a
scavenger hunt on the island.
Captain Hook has captured
Tinkerbell and is holding her in a
lantern. We hope that Peter Pan
will know where to look and can
rescue her soon!
Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
Ghost Spanish Royal Navy soldiers led by Jack Sparrow's old nemesis, Captain Armando
Salazar, escape from the Devil's Triangle, with the goal of killing every pirate at sea, including
him. To survive, Jack seeks out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact whose
owner can control the seas and break curses.
Different bands of pirates were seen congregating in various parts of the kingdom,
apparently plotting their next raids. We think the pirate at the right must have been
making small treasure chests to hold the loot before he buried it.
