Hollywood Studios
At Dapper Day, we often see families dress in matching or
coordinating outfits that fit in with the park decor. It is so much
fun to see families enjoy time together like this.
Sunday of Dapper Day weekend was held at Hollywood Studios. The old-time movie
settings in this park aid in getting some wonderful photos. Again, the weather was beautiful
and provided lots of sunshine to get those perfect shots.
Dapper Day is a time to reunite with long-time friends. Because of the shut-down for the Covid-19 pandemic and
circumstances that made it difficult to return, some friends have had to wait two years to see each other again. We are like
one big happy family, so seeing each other again reignites the friendships and gives you that family feeling. So many of us
enjoy seeing how each other dresses and how we accessorize our outfits. It’s fun to compare stories and “ooo and ahh” over
the bargains we might have picked up on our journey to get our look just right.
Lindsey prides herself on finding the
perfect hairstyle and the perfect outfit
for her look. This year she found a 1959
vintage Barbie doll in the box with
accessories and matched her dress and
hair to the look. Such flawless style!
Hollywood Studios seems to bring out the glamorous looks. Each
participant can choose the way to portray that and each outfit is worn with
perfection. The old Hollywood flair is prevalent throughout the park so
Dapper Day seems to fit very well there.
Joanie’s Barbie is from 1960. We have her in
our livingroom in a display case. Joanie’s
mom bought her for Joanie when she was in
grade school. The dress was one that was
available for purchase and has a hand bag.
Joanie’s mom made other dresses for Barbie
including a wedding dress.
