About Us

Clothing tells everyone who you are.

Our neighbor told us about Dapper Day at Walt Disney World. It had been going on in California for a few years. Now it’s getting bigger here in Florida. We are seeing more and more people coming to Disney parks dressed in the 1950’s style. We grew up in the 50’s and can remember the shirts with a button-down collar and petticoats with gloves and fancy hats. We think it’s nice that people are looking better with a little of the past. We have had mystery dinners here at the house and people came dressed up. People love to do something a little different. We have a vintage store we like to go to in Micanopy, Fl. She has a lot of vintage hats, dresses, jewelry, accessories and mens items also. You just have to watch how people look at you. Some come over and take pictures and tell you how nice you look. One lady said, “ you look so right on for the 1950’s” and I said “we are dressed authentic and you could join us.” She loved it and said “ I think you’re right”. So, dress in the vintage dapper look any day you like. People will always notice, and most will appreciate that you look dapper and fashionable for any era. Pick the decade that you most associate with your style, and wear those clothes proudly.

Over time

We have added to most of our themed clothing over time. We have every year coved from 1900 to present. Still looking for hats from the 1940’s for Ray. We have added over 60 hats for joanie and some we have made to match her dress. I don’t think you every out grow this dapper vintage look. We are always running across something in a store that we must buy. Sometimes you find a nice baby carriage and next thing you know it’s in your van going home with you. Take a look at some photo here and you will see we have added more, and more.
NEXT Found this buggy at a Steampunk show in Mt. Dora, FL Hard to find in Florida. Was all in great condition. We had to restore it. Very dirty. Jaanie made her dress and we both worked on the hat. Jaanie made her dress and Ray made her hat and Joanie added a longer top. The year 1945.
